It can be compared with modern days craft lagers in that it has a distinguishable malt flavor and relatively high bitterness. The beer has a grainy and spicy profile, with Saaz hops giving a dry and bitter punch in the aftertaste. With an alcohol volume of 5.1%, light body, soft carbonation and the aforementioned dry and expressive aftertaste, Verhaeghe Pils is a true thirst-quencher.
