デュベル、それは世界一魔性を秘めたビール
独自の酵母と長い熟成期間、瓶内2次発酵を駆使した、1918年から続くオリジナルのレシピ。繊細な香りと絶妙な苦みを備えたゴールデン・エールは、あまりの魅力から「悪魔」と名付けられた。厄介なのは、その誘惑から逃れるのはひどく困難ということ。もちろん試してみるのは自由だがー。

わずかな苦みとすっきりとした味わい、そして個性的なホップの香り。フルボディのゴールデン・エールの代表格とされるデュベル。その類まれな味わいは、最高級のホップと独自の酵母、瓶内2次発酵と90日にも及ぶ長期醸造によって生み出される。

たとえば、華やかで柑橘類を思わせる香しさは、選び抜いたトップクラスのホップによるもの。デュベルでは大麦を5日間貯蔵庫で発芽させてモルトにする。モルトの色合いは温度によって変わり、ビールの出来上がりに影響するとされる。デュベルはさまざまな種類の香り高いスロベニアやチェコのホップを加え、透き通ったブロンド色と独特の苦みを引き出している。これは味わいにも反映されており、スパイシーさを兼ね備えた絶妙なバランスに仕上がっている。さらに炭酸ガスを多く含むため、飲むと口にまろやかさが広がる。のどを潤すパーフェクトな飲み物、そして理想的なアペリティフと言えるだろう。

Made with the original recipe from 1918 that masterfully uses bottle fermentation in combination with the original yeast and extended maturation period. Providing a delicate aroma and exquisite bitterness, the golden ale was so bewitching in taste, they named it after the Devil. So tempting is the beer, it's almost impossible to leave untouched. Of course, you're always free to just taste it...

Characterized by its slight bitterness, refined taste and that unmistakable hop aroma, Duvel is the one true king of the full-bodied Golden Ales. That unmatched flavor comes from using high quality hops and its original yeast and is expertly brought out by the bottle fermentation and 90-day maturation period.

Having a closer look, the hops are top-grade, singled out for their florid citrus fragrance. The malt comes from barley that is germinated for 5 days in a storage house at the Duvel-Moortgat Brewery. The malt's coloration is influenced by the temperature and has a significant impact on the beer itself. Duvel adds different aromatic hops from Slovenia and Czech, bringing out the characteristic bitterness and sharpening the clear and blond beer. This is also reflected in the taste, combining spiciness with a subtle balance. In addition, the beer contains a lot of carbon dioxide, so when you drink it, the mellow mouthfeel pleasantly spreads throughout. A perfect drink to moisturize your throat and an ideal aperitif.

Duvel Glass

本場ベルギーには元来ゴールデンエールと言う呼称はありませんでしたが、イギリス人のビール評論家、マイケル・ジャクソン氏に よって命名された分類です。

ゴールデンエールは、日本で飲まれているラガータイプのビールよりも更に淡く、美しい金色をたたえた上面発酵ビールです。アルコール 度数が高く、コクが有りまろやかな味わいが特徴です。アロマティック・モルトやキャンディーシュガーなどを利用し、その味わいの深さ、 香りの豊かさ、密度の高さなど、ボディが強いことが特徴です。

近年人気が高く、銘柄も増えてきています。アルコール度数の高い物は、ストロング・ゴールデン・エールと呼ばれています。
