Duvel Barred Aged is the result of the experimenting of the brewers of Duvel Moortgat. By letting the world renowned Duvel age on oak barrels, the brewery uses an old and traditional technique to create new and exciting tastes of the regular Duvel. The 10th edition of Duvel Barrel Aged has matured for 6–7 months in carefully selected Mexican agave spirit barrels. The result is a warm copper beer that greets you with aromas of toffee, vanilla, and red fruit. Smooth layers of caramel, oak, and ripe fruit unfold on the palate, finishing long, mellow, and fruity. As always retaining a little bit of the original Duvel character, this special release brings together bold character and refined balance made to be savored with good food, a setting sun, and friends who make the moment unforgettable.
